It is 10 Kilometres from the beach (L'Estartit and Pals), 4 km from Ullastret Iberian ruins and 15 km from Empúries Roman and Greek ruins.

It is close to the medieval villages of Peratallada, Pals, Monells and Cruïlles, and to Illes Medes and Aiguamolls de l'Empordà nature reserves.
